ABC
Due to the fact that The Bachelorette contender for Ali’s heart, Frank Neuschaefer, is at the center of another major controversial storyline this season, I would like to do a psychic investigation…
On the ABC site, Frank is listed as a retail manager from Geneva, IL. The most outrageous thing he has done in life is quit his job, pack his bags and head to Europe, i.e., “to make it up as he went along”. Note: Frank had a financially successful career. However, the inner Frank has a passion for writing. In fact, he moved to France to fulfill his dreams of working on screenplays. It makes me wonder whether Frank’s decision to move to Paris was inspired by the 2008 British-American drama film Revolutionary Road. Coincidentally, the main character of the movie has a similar name, Frank. According to the plot of the movie, Frank Wheeler (Leonardo DiCaprio)
“… hates the unimportance and monotony of his work. Frank is stuck in the same job that his father worked for 20 years, ultimately fading into history unnoticed.”
His wife, April (Kate Winslet), proposes that they relocate to Paris where Frank can ‘search for his passion’ and the couple can live a worthwhile, meaningful life. Symbolically, Paris is the panacea for all their problems. Unfortunately, Frank Wheeler never had the courage to actually do it and the movie has a dramatic ending. Did our bachelor Frank Neuschaefer identify with the film’s character, Frank Wheeler, and dare to fulfill what the main character couldn’t? I sense a kindred spirit here.
However, I am not surprised with the way Frank Neuschaefer’s journey ended: he went broke and had to move back to live with his mom and dad. Some people may call him a loser, while others may consider him a free spirit. I suspect that Ali may see him as a courageous, romantic man who is not afraid to pursue his dreams.
On the surface he looks like a non-assuming, perhaps preppy nerd. Of course, this observation is only skin deep. The true individual that resides within has force, power and individuality. These qualities are certainly a rare commodity in a world where the money-oriented hustlers and players seem to rule and the idealistic dreamer is a thing of the past. What this does tell us about Frank’s character is that he does have deeper feelings and I feel this sensitivity is the real motivation for his desire to vacate the show. Like Don Quixote, Frank is a guy who is struggling to survive against the windmills of the real world.
According to Reality Steve’s spoilers, we already know that Frank will be portrayed as another villain of this season. If you are not aware, Frank will eliminate himself right before the overnight date in Tahiti telling Ali that he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend. ABC will also show us the footage of Frank getting back together with his ex-girlfriend, Nicole, in Chicago. The tricky part is – this footage has been actually filmed after Ali left Chicago for Frank’s hometown date but BEFORE they went to Tahiti. Hence, it has been set up by the producers before Frank actually told Ali about his decision to leave in Tahiti. Note: it won’t be revealed or confirmed by ABC, this information was leaked by Reality Steve’s “secret” sources (to read more about it go to realitysteve.com).
It is obvious that Frank joined the show for ulterior reasons. However, sometime early on Frank has developed a guilty conscience and wanted to leave the show for good. He probably felt really bad for lying to Ali and accepting her roses. Remember that the rose ceremony is a two way street; you are supposed to accept the rose only when you are confident in your feelings for Ali. But here is the catch: Frank wanted to tell Ali the truth long before the overnight date in Tahiti, but the producers wouldn’t let him do so. Why? Because it is more dramatic for something like this to take place closer to the finale; especially right before the overnight dates. It’s a shoo-in for the show’s ratings. This makes me question the authenticity of the show altogether!
It doesn’t make Frank less guilty, but then again, when you sign a contract with ABC, you are bound to do what they want. To make Frank agree to shoot the footage of him and his girlfriend they might have offered some sort of a monetary payment (remember that Frank is semi-broke; he lives with his parents).
And what about Ali’s feelings? In an interview with US Weekly, Chris Harrison described Ali as vulnerable and having a fear of not being loved in return. On the other hand, it appears that Ali’s well being is the least concern of the show. I guess she’s also bound by a contractual duty and a six figure payment. Bottom line, her heartache is the price she has to pay to be on the show!

Frank is probably not the only guy on this show with an ex-girlfriend. It’s whether they still want to be with their ex or not. I’m glad to see Ali is getting paid for all the bullshit. At the end, she’ll still be a winner, even if she doesn’t pick the dream man she wants.
don’t say a bad word that is wrong!
Frank Like Jason is a fake asshole. How can people play with other people’s feeling’s and, sleep @ nite? Jason pledges his love for “the woman of his dreams” then not only dumps her but, does it on national T.V. what a bastard. He and Frank need 2 hook up with each other.
no frank is not ass hold, instead, he is so respond man in all those man! because he don’t want the confusion keep going with him, he wanted to clear what should he do? I very very understand frank’s concern about the relationship with Ali. to stay in the game, have to have very strong confidence for self, not because of you are not true enough to competing with others, but all are so fake, including Ali, the girl keep kissing hugging all the guys, and saying love you, miss you everyday. WTF?? and can you watch your future wife kissing hugging and doing all the close job everyday? I believe you all had been seeing how struggle frank was, when the moment came up. I believe he was loving Ali, but couldn’t handle this kind of situation, that’s why I came up this result at the end, event-ought Ali keep sending message to him to try to make him feel more confident to himself. Ali just paying the price. if possible I think she wanted to quiet the show and fail all the other 3 guys just marry to frank, who do want to have life with. but unfortunately, you have to finish the show. so more or less, the show kills the relationship, kills ali’s life.
frank is not an ass hole!!!…he’s genuine and real…and a very amazing guy!…he’s nothing like jason!…b4 i like jason…but what he did in his season was….wow…never mind…frank on the other hand is an amazing guy…just watching him…you can see that sincerity in him…which really draws people into him…he’s ex-girlfriend nicole is so lucky to have this amazing guy!…that for sure!…a genuine heart!…it’s just amazing!…
I wonder how much of these shows is scripted. Jake claimed that he was in love with all four women – Ali, Tenley, Gia, Vienna – at once.
*Ali truly puts her heart on the line not only with the men on the show but also with the production team and how they handle the issues that she’ll be confronted with during the process. They seem to choose how and when they’ll be presented to her. I wish her well.*
I really like Frank actually, too bad he already had a girlfriend. So, why on earth would he come on the show, unless it would help his Writing career?
Yes, this ABC show seems to own people, one becomes a slave to the fame the show wants.
Pooh on that, but that is life in SHOW BUSINESS and the show is Definitely Show BUSINESS.
I love watching, but the part that makes me ill, is LETTING money rule what happens in one’s life. I guess the price to pay for outrageous dates around the entire world in the most outrageous ways and loads of money involved.
As long as one can keep HEART cool no matter what and be able to “BOUNCE back” with heartache, which ALI has proved she can with Jake….
well, I guess it is a “GO”!
It stinks..to be owned by ABC, but money talks!!!!
Would you sell your soul/heart for money? Heck, some marry poor people and it doesn’t work out, so what the heck….sometimes you win, sometimes you lose…at least LOSE with money!!!!!! Unless you win with money and win with love..the game of LIFE goes on!!!! HA!!
so , what everthing about Frank is making him better then Justin? What ?
NOTHING.. The same- the hope to get an attention in their field (nothing wrong with it),
to get some money ( everyone’ll get some to be on the show), why for gorgeous Justin to have a girlfriend is almost a crime, for freak Frank it’s ok.. To find love ? Here is some thoughts- for Justin there is no problem to find love, that’s why his presents on the show was look a like selfpromotion.. say more then to find love.. In Frank case-
all people are believe that he’s here for love… He left the show because he DIDN’T BELIEVE that Ali could really love him. For Frank love expectation is bigger and
more desirable then selfpromotion as screenwriter..But I don’t believe him that he loves his Nicole after his sobbing with Ali..and his sobbing about Ali with Nicole..
Ahhh Frank…. DAMN, HE WAS HOT!!!!! I love the preppy nerd thing…
Honestly, Ali can go stick her head in a toilet for all I care I honestly don’t care for her that much. Okay, so it wasn’t until the final three that all this happened, but don’t think that Ali is the victim here! She did the same thing to Jake last season! Besides, who exposes thier private life on television just to obtain money/love? I mean, seriously! :/ Ali obviously never heard the phrase ” What goes around, comes around” Sorry Ali… Karmas a bitch, aint it?

Ashers is the type of person I like to throw a brick @4 making that statement.. “Who the F do you think you are?” Ali does not deserve to be heartbroken like that regardless. And further more Ali left Jake4 her job not4 her ex. Frank deserves to get chewed out, he’s nothing but a betrayer and a looser.. So Ahsers take your BS and shove it up your Ahle..
I do enjoy watching it and it can be an emotional journey for those involved as well as a learning experience. However im sure the money helps too.=)
If Ali had a fear of not being loved back, I’m sure that fear got worse when she was rejected by Jake (she was afraid Jake would reject her for Vienna, that is why she left) . I think deep down inside she knew and she didn’t want to be rejected and get her heart broken. Is she really over Jake? She is really putting a lot of effort into making the public think that. Maybe she is another Tenley, not over her ex-husband. Anyway, Ali may be looking for someone who cares more about her than money or his career because of her fear of not being loved back (wait, isn’t that Tenley’s line, “wanting to be loved back”)? But, the fact is “when there’s no money coming through the door, that love goes right out the window.” Marrying a dreamer is cute, but not a smart move when you are talking about the rest of your life. The thing to do would be to find someone who has both qualities, the ability to love you unconditionally, and the ability to make a good living and know his responsibilities.
I’m just throwing this out there, but it seems as if Ali’s father isn’t in the picture. He wasn’t around for her hometown date in the Bachelor. So maybe he abandoned her when she was younger and if so, that imay be why she would fear rejection by men. Women usually, but not always, identify the men in their life with their father. If this is the case she may never get over that fear.
Was Ali aware that Frank wanted to leave the show earlier? Probably not because she wouldn’t have kept him around for so long, or did ABC make her do that (keep him around until the end) for drama. If the latter was the case, then this is not a realty show, its a work of true fiction. That would mean that she could have kept someone else around instead of Frank, who could have turned out to be the love of her life. Just my opinion.

Thanks for supplying the website. The article did a good job of explaining Ali’s deeply rooted problems. The diagnosis is right on point.
Oh, I forgot to add something. If Ali didn’t know about Frank wanting to leave the show earlier, then is it possible that she could have been falling in love with him? He WAS in the last 3 finalists, wouldn’t she know by then who she really wanted? So, did her heart get broken again? If it was Frank who she loved or thought she loved, then did she JUST SETTLE for one of the last 2 finalists? Just a question. With all of the fictional drama that ABC wants in the show, no one knows what the truth is. But thanks to Reality Steve, we can find out!!
You know if this show was really based on true reality, people would not hate it and get sick of the bullshit so much. About the drama, isn’t there enough drama when there are 25 people living together in the same house who are competing against each other for the same person in a 2-month period of time? Of course, adding some drama for dramatic effect is normal, true-story movies do it all the time, but to make up big things that never happened or to change something that is supposed to be based on reality, only makes the entire show unreal!! I never watch reality shows for that reason, and I only started watching the Bachelor, season 14, because of Jake!! Since I don’t like Ali mainly because of all her personal drama and low-class antics and viciousness she displayed especially toward Vienna on the Bachelor, and the fact that she is so fake on the Bachelorette, I will probably stop watching it at least this season. What I would like to see is a show like this where the bachelors/bachelorettes did not know they were being filmed!! That would be a true reallity show.!! Can you imagine the drama then? Plus, the ratings would go through the roof, everybody would be watching. Of course, we all know that is NOT LEGAL and I would say by far, not ethical and lastly, not moral. Just a thought.
At first, I believed that Reality Steve’s predictions were true…but…his prediction was that Justin would be in the final three, meanwhile, he knew that Justin had a girlfriend. What did he think, Ali was gonna keep the 2 timing Justin on the show? That makes his predictions seem a little fishy. Don’t you agree?
Steve never said that Justin would be in the final three. You are confusing Justin with Frank because Frank also has a girlfriend back home.
Frank doesn’t have a girlfriend, he has an ex girlfriend he still has feelings for-much different
if Frank still has feelings for his ex then he shouldn’t have came on the show. He should have been trying to work things out with her instead of getting Ali to fall for him just so he could dump her. what an ASSHOLE!!!!
well screw that…I’m done with this show. Frank was my hopeful one. forget this. the rest of those guys are UGLY ASSHOLES..period..Thank you for saving me the time wasting my time on this.
Talk about ” UGLY” Frank is the ugliest one on there. I hope Ali picks handsome sexy sweet Roberto.
I believe that Ali would have chosen Frank if he hadn’t gone back to his ex. It’s wrong of the ABC producers to toy with people’s feelings this way.
ABC DO NOT CAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I am holding out for Jake. Ali have her heart to Jake, she left still loving him.
who gives a rat’s ass. frank was a troll. roberto is the hotty
lmao, so true. i think Roberto would be good for her, but she’s insecure cuz she confessed to him that she would not go up to him in public cuz he’s hotter than her. wtf? she’s so pretty. it’s a shame she doesn’t see that.
trust me… ali knows shes pretty
Does this mean the producers will bring Jake back at the end to sweep Ali off her hearbroken feet?
Nope!
no way!
Am I the only one out there who thinks Frank is Gay.
Frank is GAY!!
straight men don’t buy rugs!!
Judging him on his choice of wardrobe and his mannerisms, I have had a feeling that Frank is indeed gay. How do we find out for sure? Perhaps, at the very least, he’s bi-sexual.
I heart Frank.
LOL Sue S: I agree, what a FUGLY troll Frank was… go back to your FUGLY girlfriend you amoeba
I can’t believe the producers would do this to Ali, and completely taking advantage of her weakness which is fear of being loved.
What a bunch of douche bags!
Noooo!!!
Frank was my favorite! He seemed so honest and sweet! Damn television!
Frank is a dweeb! Get over it!
i liked frank. i really thought that ali would have picked frank. but if he is still in love with his ex girl friend so be it. the question is….did he know it or was it rekindled when he saw her during the hometown visit. which ever way it goes…i have no other pick for ali. she got rid of pick number one and the rest are just not right. there doesnt seem lke real spark with the rest. yeah there might be a connection but not a spark. ali dont just settle. if you dont like any of the others deep down then go home alone. you will find your mate when you least expect it.
i also liked frank but ali does deserve the best. she realized to late about jake but now with all that is being said about jake she may have been in the same boat as vienna. my top 4 were frank, roberto, ty, and chris. ty and chris are down to earth and just the most stable. roberto is just hot, hot, hot!
Just want to express my REAL feelings about Frank. I think he’s a dipstick!!! He’s immature and I think he’s more on the gay side than manly. He’s just a puke.
From the first show, I picked Roberto (maybe for myself). I just wish he would let Ali know exactly how much he likes her so she will pick him.
My gut feeling says that Frank is gay and that “Nicole” is his partner’s sister. I truly was expecting his secret to be that Frank was either bi-sexual or straight out gay. (Let’s see if this is in the Enquirer tomorrow.)
I hope she picks Chris…He really seems to be falling for her and really into Ali. When he kissed her on the tower….WOW! She had to melt. He is genuine. I think Roberto is hot too, but I think her and Chris just seem to have more chemistry. Frank??? WTF He does seem gay to me and not really into her…if you can read people, you can tell he didn’t really want to be there the past few episodes. Just look at his eyes and how he questioned everything. If he cared for her, he would have been a little more into her. They talked like brother and sister, not people who were into each other. I feel bad for Kirk. The show robbed him of a trip to Tahiti!
To much drama with Frank. There is always a problem, always a concern, always a lack of confidence…this will carry on into the relationship after the show and is sure to cause problems between the. Ali will alway be trying to fix him or trying to console him till her emotions will be drained by this douche bag.
He needs to be on a soap opera….drama drama drama
one thing missing here is recognition that producers pick and choose film out of many hours they inevitably shoot — we are being intentionally misled the entire time to create a story. While i don’t think that producers are scripting the show, the simple difference in how to pare down a 10 minute shot into 30 seconds can drastically influence how the audience views what they are seeing. Keep in mind that the contest concludes before the first episode airs. and, of course, money trumps all
also, given that the scene where frank will leave the show has been a preview for several episodes, it is likely they are priming the viewer to not get too attached and prepare themselves for his inevitable departure. it is unlikely producers would want the backlash of having franks departure be delayed on their behalf — would be too much of a transparent breach of the integrity of the show. my guess is that frank was simply conflicted, was too involved with the show and the glitzy vacation to walk away until he absolutely needed to. after all, he did get to go to tahiti. imho not an ominous plot by producers
[...] THE TRUTH BEHIND FRANK NEUSCHAEFER SCANDAL! [...]
Cyndy, Jason did NOT dump Melissa on television. They were ALREADY broken up and HAD BEEN since the previous JANUARY!! Melissa said it herself on Ellen. She put on a good act when she called him a nasty name and walked off, but she was ALREADY seeing the guy she is married to now! Jake did not do anything except realize that he had made a huge mistake. Melissa got what she wanted, which was NOT Jason. She wanted to be in the public eye, and that is exactly where she is. If anyone was playing games, it was Melissa!
[...] THE TRUTH BEHIND FRANK NEUSCHAEFER SCANDAL! [...]
Ummm Ali has problems allll her own.. she seems soooo fake!! Surely I’m not the only one who thinks this?
Oh yeah, Frank needs to grow the hell up!!! Wouldn’t it be nice if we all could have the chance to be in the situation he is in? He’s moved back home, is not employed, can go back to his ex gf to see if ‘she feels the same way (loves him)’ instead of taking the leap of faith and move forward with Ali.. gah.. sickening.
I really think Ali should pick Chris… He’s soo sweeet and real and genuine with his feelings. That kiss on the tower was so romantic; if I were her I woulda just ended the show right there and chose him! lol. But really, he was brought up right, he has an amazing family and a cute dog. What more could Ali want? Roberto is good looking yes, but shes not going to like that the family speaks spanish and she wont understand them…. and something about him just doesnt seem TOO into her like Chris… and from day 1 I knew Frank was a freakin dork.. hes UGLY as shhhhhh and when he talked he didnt even make sense. I have no idea what she saw in him… but i cant wait to see the finale…..GO CHRIS<3
I agree with Michelle, I’m so sick of hearing about Roberto being a hotty and that Ali should pick him. I think Roberto is a fake and will break her heart at the end. If she chooses him over Chris she will be the biggest idiot! And if she does choose Roberto and he ends up breaking her heart, serves her right for picking the wrong guy.. As for Frank all I can say is that he blew it big time!
frank good luck with whomever you love…………………i picked you from the start…….
Frank is a stupid idiot.
Agree!
Gimme a break Frank! Good riddance! How embarrasing for Frank,” I have feelings for my ex-girlfriend!”? One can only wonder was she really an ex in the first place, doubt it? Sounds like Frank put himself out there and could’nt handle the heat! Seriously, this guy has not much to offer for a classy woman like Ali, good luck to his ex, Nicole!
ALthough I feel that she will take Sexy Roberto; I think that she should take Chris. . She had to ask Roberto if they had a future together; whereas Chris came out and said it freely; I would just like to see her with Chris at the end…(okay, so know they cut and clip the scenes; but it appears that way).. Frank — what a loser.. Typical man though; not wanting to lose what he might have, and still hanging on to what he could have had…
I feel bad for the insecurites of Allie that come out as a result of it all….
Justin was a set-up also. A man that good looking would never sign up for a show that has less than hansome men on it.
i don’t think Frank’s girlfriend was actually that into him. She looked pretty fake (especially her slow unemotional reactions and lame talk) , probably she just wanted to get fame as the girl who stole a guy from the bachlorette. I hope she really did like him though.
Ali made a huge mistake when she let “Ty” go — he was the cutest and brightest of all, and what a great body he has. Intelligence and good looks would be good for Ali. Roberto is just a short little guy and Chris is not sophisticated enough for Ali. Wish Ali would get rid of that boring, monotinous fake-sounding, nervous laugh, though. Forget about Jake — he’s had his stint on this show, no need to keep metioning him. He wasn’t that great looking with his low slung torso and short legs. Oh yes, he is definitely gay. The way he spoke to Vienna on their break-up show, proved that he is a woman hater and no decent straight man woulld speak with such venom in his voice. Jake was/is a media whore and a loser. Justin was unappealing and oily-looking and stupid as he showed the viewers what an ass he is when he tried to run away from Ali and climbied through the plants and vegetation around the building, only to get lost in the dead end. What a fool he is. Ali should have picked Ty — he was the best contestant, but she lost out. Hopefully, after the show, they can hook up and build their friendship into something more.
I was just looking for this information for a while. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your site. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list. Normally the top sites are full of garbage.
Thanks for stopping by and for your positive feedback. In response to your observations I’d have to say that perhaps why more people are following the ‘garbage’ trail is because it’s so close to the pheromone path, versus the head – if you get my drift!
Howdy, I ran across your site using Google whilst seeking a related subject, your website came up, it appears great. I’ve saved it inside my google book mark
What is up, awesome website. I adore your design. I recently finished cosmetic classes and would like to start up my personal blog page. Thanks for the excellent write-up!
Can’t believe I’ve become so emotional about a show that at one point I probably would’ve never allowed myself to watch!! Where in the hell do I begin?!?!
I just seen the episode before the one where they go to Taihiti and when they showed the snippets for the next episode, I seen that he obviously tells Ali something upsetting that gets her so emotional that she and him are brought to tears .. And it’s also obvious that it’s not a good thing! I couldn’t help myself from googling, so I’ve spoilt the fun and now see that she’s ended up with Roberto (who was my 2nd choice) To me, all the other guys never stood a chance.. I’m a little embarrassed to say that I’m quite upset about this whole Frank thing – was so routing for him!!! I thought he was charming and nerdy (in a great way), incredibly sincere, sweet, just so likable!!:( and HE IS NOT A TROLL, NOR UGLY – HE’S ADORABLE!!!!!!!

Firstly, I have not even watched the whole season yet – but I just had to find out WHY????
FRANK, FRANK, FRANK!!!! From the second I saw him, I absolutely adored him! He was the very first Bachelor to be profiled out of the 25 and I said “he’s the one, forget all the others..” I honestly loved him from the beginning.. I watched each episode with such anticipation and belief that Ali would choose him but he’s gone and screwed it all up!
It just sucks!! But whatever hey, I’ve lost the excitement for the show now and yes, Frank is to be blamed for that but I wish him the best coz I saw a true Gem in him.. And Ali too, she’s awesome – wish nothing but the best for her..
Sam, South Africa.
Usually I don’t learn post on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up very compelled me to try and do so! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thanks, very great post.
